What is VINS?

Volunteers in Northampton Schools, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1981, whose mission is to provide volunteers in all of Northampton's public schools. For the last 33 years, VINS has been enriching the Northampton public school classrooms with talented, tireless, selfless, and indispensible community volunteers.

The purpose of volunteer involvement in the schools is to supplement and enrich the curriculum offerings at the direction of the professional staff. The volunteer participation of parents and community members is widely recognized to be a significant factor in the quality of education.
